This Sunday, we welcome back Rev. Peter Kim~ After emigrating from South Korea to Texas when he was 8 years old, Peter went to Wheaton College (Illinois) for his B.A. and M.A. degrees and Princeton Theological Seminary for his M.Div. Peter is completing his Doctor of Ministry at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Charlotte, NC (2026). Peter has preached and served as an ordained minister for nearly 30 years. He has been a plower and planter, starting English ministries at Korean-American churches in Raleigh, Chicago, Greensboro, and Charlotte, NC. He also founded an independent multi-ethnic church. Peter was a professor and director of international students at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. Peter is honored to serve at such a historic place like Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church (Charlotte, NC) and help them move forward. Peter is married and has two sons. He is a sports and fitness enthusiast and enjoys conversation over a cup of coffee. |

The Stewardship Team would like to invite you to stick around for just a few minutes after the service this Sunday. We’ll be spreading pine needles around the church grounds to freshen things up and keep our property looking its best. With Earth Day coming next week, it’s a great opportunity for us to care for the beautiful space God has given us. Please bring your gloves if you have them. Dear CIC Family, We want to share some wonderful news with everyone who has been cheering James and our robotics team on throughout the season! Team 7890 SeQuEnCe has officially qualified for the FIRST Robotics World Championship in Houston, Texas, happening April 29 – May 2. This is a huge milestone for our small community team — one of only 15 teams from all of North Carolina selected to compete at the world level. James and the team have worked incredibly hard, and we’re so grateful for all the encouragement and support from our church family along the way. If you’d like to help support the team as we prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, we’ve set up a fundraising page. Registration for the 2026-27 School year for the CIC Preschool will begin Monday, February 16, 2026. Our quality program for children ages one through Pre-K operates Monday - Friday from 9am until 1pm September through May. Families may choose three days or five days a week for children from ages one to three. The Pre-K class is five days a week. There will be registration packets at both entrances of the Church. Please be reminded that CIC Active Church Members receive a 10% discount. If you have questions, you may contact Lynn Crabtree at preschool@cicpres.com or 336-674-1050. |
