Exciting news for one of our own teenagers! James Penrod’s robotics team, FRC Team 7890 SeQuEnCe, is competing in the 2026 FIRST North Carolina State Championship this weekend at the Greensboro Complex – Special Events Center on W. Gate City Blvd. These students have worked incredibly hard all season designing, building, programming, and refining their robot. FIRST Robotics builds real-world skills in STEM, teamwork, creativity, and leadership, and the matches are thrilling to watch. Watch online or attend in person. Admission is free! This state championship is a huge opportunity — a strong showing could even qualify them for the FIRST Championship in Houston! CIC is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, April 21, 2-6pm. The theme for this drive is "You can plant seeds of hope for patients in need by donating lifesaving blood this spring!". Our goal is to collect 20 units and when you come to give blood, platelets, or AB Elite plasma April 13-30, 2026, you’ll receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of your choice.* Think of it as our way of saying thanks for your support and helping lives blossom. |

Registration for the 2026-27 School year for the CIC Preschool will begin Monday, February 16, 2026. Our quality program for children ages one through Pre-K operates Monday - Friday from 9am until 1pm September through May. Families may choose three days or five days a week for children from ages one to three. The Pre-K class is five days a week. There will be registration packets at both entrances of the Church. Please be reminded that CIC Active Church Members receive a 10% discount. If you have questions, you may contact Lynn Crabtree at preschool@cicpres.com or 336-674-1050. |
