According to reports, inclements weather this weekend is imminent. Therefore, CIC's plan for notification of cancellation includes communicating via announcements on local TV outlets, FaceBook, Instagram, and the Ruling Elders' Shepherd group emails. Most likely a decision will be made on Saturday since safety is top priority, especially considering the potentially hazardous driving for this Sunday's Pulpit Supply who lives in Pittsboro. Stay warm and safe! |

If CIC is open for worship this Sunday, we welcome Rev. Jack Donovan (he will also be here March 1st & 22nd).
Jack was raised and educated in New England. He and his wife Alisun (a retired PCUSA pastor and artist) blessedly share three children and six grandchildren. Jack's work since college has been in public service and community organizing, including 35 years as pastor and hospice chaplain after receiving a Master of Divinity degree from the Graduate Theological Union in California. |

It's high time we pop that bubble of mystery surrounding the "magic" that happens on Sundays with zoom, FaceBook streaming, sound system management, and slide operations! Our Tech Deacon team needs to increase their backup numbers, so B.J. and Jared are offering training opportunities immediately following worship service. Also, a Tech Deacon step-by-step manual is in the making for reliable reference. So let's support our wonderful Tech Deacons by stepping up to the technology plate (that B.J. says is easy-peasy) and becoming part of this important team! |

Star Words We invite you to take a Star Word at random from the basket in the Centrum if you have not already received one. Each word is printed on a paper star and is intended to guide your prayer and reflection throughout the year. Consider this a meaningful act of worship—an opportunity to listen for how God may be speaking to you. Place your Star Word somewhere you will see often, allowing it to remind you of God’s presence, guidance, and care throughout the year. You are also welcome to take an additional Star Word to share with a friend. May your Star Word light your path as we journey together into the New Year! |
