We Appreciate You, Pastor Bryan! October is recognized as Pastor Appreciation Month, with the second Sunday designated as Pastor Appreciation Day. CIC Kids surprised Pastor Bryan with a special poster during the Word with children on 10/12/2025 and left it in the Fellowship Hall for everyone to sign. We appreciate you, Pastor Bryan, and are so thankful that God brought you to Community in Christ! |

Retirement Road Trip CIC is going on a GUM food donation drive October - December with the destination being 1,000 lbs of food donated to celebrate Bryan's retirement. A running total of pounds donated will be kept and updated as we go on this 3-month journey. If you prefer making a money donation to this project vs shopping, individuals on Outreach will use monies collected to purchase food to reach out goal. There are envelopes in the Narthex with a GUM label. Please write retirement donation on the outside of the envelope. Checks will need to be made out to CIC with retirement donation on the memo line. Bryan was the Salem Presbytery Hunger Action Advocate prior to coming to CIC. This has been a focus of his ministry. He is aware and very appreciative of this GUM food collection as CIC's recognition and celebration of his retirement. |

2025 CROP Hunger Walk Thank you very much to everyone who walked and/or donated to the CROP Hunger Walk to help feed our neighbors in need! You may still make a donation to help people struggling with hunger. Please use the “I Am a Hunger Fighter” envelopes that are available in the narthex and write “Crop Walk” on the memo line of your check made out to CIC. The deadline for donations is Friday, October 31. |

Veterans Sunday Nov. 9, 2025 We will recognize our veterans and active duty military with a Tree of Valor in the narthex for Veterans Sunday on November 9. On the Go with God – Stewardship 2025 Our Fall Stewardship Campaign is rolling! Inspired by this summer’s VBS, “On the Go with God,” we’re preparing for the road ahead. Each Sunday from September 28 to October 26, we’ll take a special “Exit” during worship—hearing from leaders of CIC’s amazing missions and ministries. These stops will help us reflect on where God is calling us next. Consecration Sunday is November 2

CIC Treasurer Position CIC is in need of a committed individual skilled in financial acounting to assume the treasurer duties for us. This person plays an immensly important role in the continued health & growth of our congregation. Enrollment Openings Available at CIC Preschool Community in Christ Preschool has enrollment openings for the upcoming school year. Our quality program for children ages one through Pre-K operates Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. September through May. Families may choose three days or five days a week for children from ages one to three. The Pre-K class is five days a week. Please contact Preschool Director Lynn Crabtree at 336-674-1050 or preschool@cicpres.com for more information about this wonderful program. Registration forms are available in the narthex. |
