A note from Pastor Bryan: Election Day afternoon we learned that Diane's father, Raymond McDaniel began receiving medication to help him breathe better and remain calm. I am driving Diane to Mt. Juliet, TN on Wednesday to be with her father. I plan to come back to Greensboro on Saturday or perhaps Friday. My good friend, Rev. Frank Dew has graciously agreed to officiate the Celebration of Life for Miriam Cox Bell on Saturday @ 2pm at CIC. Your prayers are appreciated during this time in our family. We are all blessed with the presence of God who stills us and knows our every need and weakness. In Christ are we made whole. Blessings to each of you, all of you. |

Greensboro Urban Ministry Thank you very much for bringing food donations for our last GUM Drive-Thru on 11/3/2024. We appreciate everyone who contributed to our total donation of 162 pounds of food! We will collect nonperishable food items for Greensboro Urban Ministry at our next Drive-Thru on 12/1/2024, after the worship service until noon. |

Veterans Sunday Nov. 10, 2024 We will recognize our CIC veterans and active duty military during a special Word with children, “Pray, Thank, and Remember,” for Veterans Sunday on November 10, 2024. Following a fall (no broken bones, thank goodness!) and short stay in Wesley Long Hospital, Ann Thomas relocated to Clapps Nursing Center last weekend. Currently in Room 502, she would love to have visitors while she is there! To double your visiting pleasure, Jo McGuire is right around the corner in Room 603. :) |

Christmas Play and Potluck Brunch Sunday, December 8 Come with us to Who-ville and celebrate the light of the world! CIC Kids will present How the Grinch Found the Christ in Christmas during the worship service on Sunday, December 8, followed by our Christmas Potluck Brunch. Please sign up in the narthex with your name, number attending, and choice of bringing a casserole, pastry/biscuits, or veggies/fruit. Invite your friends and neighbors to worship with us and discover with the Grinch that, “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more!” |
