Save the date! Per Capita Sunday - August 25, 2024
For 2024, Salem Presbytery's per capita is $41.00. This means that for every member of CIC and each church in this Presbytery, Salem Presbytery's 2024 cost is $41.00. This cost breakdown for 2024:
$30.05 stays in Salem Presbytery, $1.15 goes to the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic, and $9.80 goes to the General Assembly. Your gift to this special, annual offering on August 25, 2024 will go directly to Salem Presbytery as we strive to be more and more connected with our presbytery, our synod, and the General Assembly.

Congratulations, Pastor Bryan! Please pass along congratulations to Pastor Bryan who will celebrate his 37th Ordiversary (37 years of ordination) on August 16. He was ordained into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament on August 16, 1987, which means he has been a pastor for 37 years. Join with us in sending him love, prayers, and gratitude. Pastor Bryan, we thank God for you and are so grateful for your creative and faithful ministry. Thanks for sharing your gifts and your calling with us at Community in Christ! Congratulations and blessings on the anniversary of your ordination! |

New Members and Baptism This Sunday, we will welcome Ben and Sarah Knotts to the ministry and mission of Community in Christ and celebrate the sacrament of baptism of their daughter, Emma. They have been worshiping with us and will formalize their membership during the worship service on August 11, 2024. Thanks be to God! |

Greensboro Urban Ministry (GUM) Thank you to everyone who contributed to our GUM Drive-Thru on Sunday, August 4! Our total donation was 160.5 pounds. We will collect food for Greensboro Urban Ministry at our next Drive-Thru on Sunday, September 1, after the worship service until noon. As you shop, please consider purchasing some nonperishable food items for our neighbors in need. We appreciate your continued compassion and support! |

CIC Preschool is excited for the upcoming school year. We are very blessed to have support from the Church members and the Community. Thank you for all you do! The Preschool is a wonderful resource for the community. I look forward to working with the teachers, preschool committee, and the families to continue providing an excellent learning environment for the children in our care. |
