VBS Sunday The children will sing and share what they have learned during our special VBS Sunday worship service on July 21 at 9:30 a.m. Our VBS mission project is to collect food for families who are experiencing hardship. We will announce which tent has more food for Greensboro Urban Ministry – the girls’ tent or the boys’ tent. Thank you for bringing food items to help others! Please help us take the decorations down after the VBS Sunday worship service. Thank you so very much for supporting children’s ministry! |

A gigantic MAHALO to my CIC 'Ohana!!! As you may know, I had Trachelectomy Surgery on Wednesday, July 10th. With just one hiccup, the surgery was successful, and I am now on the long-awaited road of healing. My family and I would like to thank you all for your prayers of healing, comfort, strength, and for your satisfying meals and above all, your continuous support!! With our deepest gratitude, ~ Christina Nelson & 'Ohana |

Opportunity for Service: The Word in Music Psalm 95:1-2 Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song... Beginning in Genesis 4:21 and continuing through Revelation 18:22-23, there are several hundred references to music in the Bible, because music within worship is both call and response. The call of God reaches the depths of our hearts with special power through the hearing of music, and our singing and meditating upon this musical call express, in a powerful way, the deepest response of our hearts to God. Throughout the year, but especially during the summer months, you have the opportunity to use your God-given talents to lead a two-or-so minutes portion of this call and response by volunteering to present The Word in Music. Your contribution could be singing or playing an instrument. You might even wish to consider offering a duet or some other combination of talents, if you have a helper and don’t wish to be a soloist. I am available and willing to help, to practice with you, and to accompany you, if you like. The Word in Music is an offering to God, not a performance for the congregation, so don’t worry about not having the professional-level voice or instrumental ability such as you hear on the radio and tv. We offer what we have, to the best of our ability, trusting that the God who gave us our talent will gladly receive this offering, as He did that of the poor widow in Luke 21:1-4. What this also means is that your age, from school age to “chronologically gifted,” is no barrier to offering The Word in Music. Please contact me at church, or via phone (850.294.4266) or email (apbuciorjr@gmail.com) if you’d like to discuss possibilities. Thanks! Hope to hear from you, soon! |
