A Celebration of Life for Bill Gerrow will be held at CIC at 2pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024. This event is an offering of love from the Gerrow family to CIC for support and ministry they have felt from this congregation through the years and will feature music, readings, and various friends and family sharing memories of Bill. |

Greetings CIC! One thing that makes the work of the Stewardship Committee a pleasure is the level of commitment of the members of our Community in Christ. When pledges are made, they are consistently fulfilled. Please take a moment to see where you are in meeting your pledge for 2023. We do not currently create giving statements as we have in the past, but if you cannot determine from your own records where you are with your pledge, please reach out to our treasurer, Jordan Morris. Jordan's email address is below. Remember that Jordan is the only person in the church with knowledge of pledges and year to date giving. As we move into fall, if you have been busy and let your pledge fall behind a bit, thank you for catching it up. Next Sunday we will ordain/install the following new elders: Dave Bumgarner, Jared Penrod, Lynne Poteat, and John Vitez. On Sunday, 01/28/24 CIC will hold our Annual Meeting during worship using a Worshipful Work agenda. Reports of each of the Communities will serve as the sermon and we will give thanks to God for CIC’s ministry and mission in 2023. |

Second Hour – All youth and adults are invited to join us for Second Hour, which is a “deeper dive” into one of the lectionary scripture choices for each Sunday. This engaging style of Bible study has greatly enriched the youth and adults who have participated. Middle-school youth have the option of “diving deep” with the adults and high-school youth for Second Hour or meeting with Mrs. Keven for Half Time. |

Half Time – Please join us for some holy, playful learning during Half Time, a half hour (11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) of fun and faith development! We will be using Messy Church activities to spark creativity and fun. Messy Church is based on the values of celebration, centering ourselves in Christ, and all ages together, so we welcome all children, as well as middle schoolers who may choose to be Bible Buddies for younger children. Let’s learn together! |

Wheel Train - CIC Member Eileen Beals is requesting assistance with transportation to Worship Service on Sundays. Please sign up on https://bit.ly/BealsWheelTrain. If you need help with signing up, please call the office. ***Important Details: Upon signing up, please call Eileen to tell her the date you signed up to take her to church. Give her your phone number, and ask her to call you the night before or by 9 a.m. on that Sunday morning to confirm that she still wants a ride to CIC for worship. |
