A note from Pastor Bryan: Many thanks for all your prayers for my mother, Jean McFarland. As I write this I am in her bedroom watching her sleep peacefully. So far, she has needed nothing for pain or anxiety as she slowly transitions. We are most grateful for that! Being here with mom and my brother, Kent is where I need to be and I am most grateful to God AND to all of you who have done nothing but understand and show pastoral care to and for me, a CIC characteristic I do not take for granted! My plan is to lead worship & preach this coming Sunday's morning and evening services on Zoom from my mother's living room. I pray you all enjoy Friday night's Living Nativity and please know that all of you are held in God's Light as we prepare for Christ's Advent yet again. |

A large portion of Pastor Bryan's sermon on 12/10/23 was an essay by his friend, Mike Weiss called Avi's Menorah. Click Here for the link to that essay. |

Greetings CIC! One thing that makes the work of the Stewardship Committee a pleasure is the level of commitment of the members of our Community in Christ. When pledges are made, they are consistently fulfilled. Please take a moment to see where you are in meeting your pledge for 2023. We do not currently create giving statements as we have in the past, but if you cannot determine from your own records where you are with your pledge, please reach out to our treasurer, Jordan Morris. Jordan's email address is below. Remember that Jordan is the only person in the church with knowledge of pledges and year to date giving. As we move into fall, if you have been busy and let your pledge fall behind a bit, thank you for catching it up. This allows us to end 2023 on a positive note and move smoothly into planning for 2024. CIC Treasurer, Jordan Morris treasurer@cicpres.com |
