Pastor Bryan out of office Thursday - Sunday   Pastor Bryan will attend his 40th college reunion next weekend at Maryville College in Tennessee. Rev. Frank Dew will preach THIS Sunday, 10/22/23 while Bryan is out of town.

Greetings CIC! One thing that makes the work of the Stewardship Committee a pleasure is the level of commitment of the members of our Community in Christ. When pledges are made, they are consistently fulfilled. Please take a moment to see where you are in meeting your pledge for 2023. We do not currently create giving statements as we have in the past, but if you cannot determine from your own records where you are with your pledge, please reach out to our treasurer, Jordan Morris. Jordan's email address is below. Remember that Jordan is the only person in the church with knowledge of pledges and year to date giving. As we move into fall, if you have been busy and let your pledge fall behind a bit, thank you for catching it up. Veterans Sunday Nov. 12, 2023   We will recognize our veterans and active duty military with a Tree of Valor in the narthex for Veterans Sunday on November 12, 2023. Please email photographs for CIC’s Tree of Valor to Keven Cockrell at keven1@bellsouth.net by November 6 so that we might acknowledge loved ones who have served our nation. Many thanks!

2023 CROP Hunger Walk   You may still make a donation in honor of Jo McGuire’s 97th birthday to the CROP Hunger Walk. Please write a check to CIC with “CROP Walk” in the memo line or put your cash donation in an envelope marked “CROP Walk.” The deadline for donations is Tuesday, October 31. Thank you very much to everyone who walked and/or donated to the CROP Hunger Walk to help feed our neighbors in need!

Drivers Needed GUM Food Drive at Food Lion Saturday, October 21   If you can make a delivery to GUM from the Food Drive at Food Lion during the day this Saturday, please email Keven Cockrell at keven1@bellsouth.net. We greatly appreciate your help!

Help Save Lives! Red Cross Blood Drive at CIC Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m.  Every day more than 10,000 patients rely on the generosity of blood donors to survive. There is no substitute for blood. It is precious, it is perishable, and the need for it is critical. You can put your faith into action when you give blood at CIC on Tuesday, October 24, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Remember to hydrate and eat iron-rich foods prior to the blood drive. Treats Needed! PYF needs candy and small treat donations for our 4th Annual Trunk or Treat Extravaganza! If you are unable to help out by hosting a “trunk”, please bring treats/candy and leave them in the PYF room on the ping pong table. We need the donations by Sunday October 22nd. Thank You!!

CIC Trunk or Treat Extravaganza, Oct 25, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm, CIC Parking Lot  - The youth group of Community in Christ invites children from our CIC Community to the 4th Annual Halloween Trunk or Treat Extravaganza!
