2023 CROP Hunger Walk Walk. Give. Change the World!   Thank you for walking and/or donating to the CROP Walk to help end hunger in our community and around the world! The Southeast CROP Walk at CIC will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, with registration starting at 1:30 p.m. You may write a check to CIC with “CROP Walk” in the memo line or put your cash donation in an envelope marked “CROP Walk.”!

Happy 97th Birthday to Jo McGuire! You are invited to a drop-in birthday celebration in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, October 8, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Help us celebrate and honor “Mrs. Jo” by bringing food donations for GUM and/or monetary donations to CROP Walk in lieu of birthday gifts. You may write a check to CIC with “CROP Walk” in the memo line or put your cash donation in an envelope.

Get Curious! Kids’ Half Time   Our outdoor worship service on Sunday, October 8, has moved indoors, but Kids’ Half Time has not! Please join us after the fellowship time to meet God outdoors and experience a sense of awe and wonder there during “Get Curious,” a half hour (11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) of fun and faith development. We welcome children and families, as well as middle schoolers who may choose to be Bible Buddies for younger children. Let’s get curious and learn together!

CIC Trunk or Treat Extravaganza, Oct 25, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm, CIC Parking Lot  - The youth group of Community in Christ invites children from our CIC Community to the 4th Annual Halloween Trunk or Treat Extravaganza! (Not too scary please) Families, Committees, Friends, anyone can get together and help out. Please wear a costume if able.    Candy, treats, and games will be on the ping pong table for use to supplement what candy, treats, small prizes, etc. you bring. Treats Needed! PYF needs candy and small treat donations for our 4th Annual Trunk or Treat Extravaganza! If you are unable to help out by hosting a “trunk”, please bring treats/candy and leave them in the PYF room on the ping pong table. We need the donations by Sunday October 22nd. Thank You!!

GUM Food Collection at CIC Sunday, October 8 You may bring food donations to the GUM Drive-Thru on Sunday, October 8, after the worship service until 5:00 p.m. Thank you for helping those who need it most in our community through Greensboro Urban Ministry!   GUM Food Drive at Food Lion Saturday, October 21 CIC will be collecting food for GUM’s annual Fall Food Drive on Saturday, October 21, at Food Lion on Woody Mill Road. Please sign up in the narthex for a time slot (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.). We also need drivers to deliver donations to GUM on October 21 before 6:00 p.m. We greatly appreciate your generous support!

CIC Preschool currently has openings for our Pre-K class and our 2s class, but spots are filling up fast. Register today! Church members receive a 10% discount on tuition.

Help Save Lives! Red Cross Blood Drive at CIC Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m.  Every day more than 10,000 patients rely on the generosity of blood donors to survive. There is no substitute for blood. It is precious, it is perishable, and the need for it is critical. You can put your faith into action when you give blood at CIC on Tuesday, October 24, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Remember to hydrate and eat iron-rich foods prior to the blood drive.
